About 13tigerlilies

In the journey of life, I stumbled upon a part of myself I never knew existed until I became a proud member of the ARMY. With a lifelong affinity for creativity, I've always claimed my destiny as a writer. Despite the guidance of authorities pushing me towards journalism, life's twists and turns led me to pursue a Master's degree in English/Creative Writing in my 50s. Finally embarking on an author's career, I found BTS and fell headfirst into a new passion.

As my writer's soul entwined itself with the captivating world of BTS, a dilemma arose—I had just launched a professional author website and was advised against blending professional work with passion projects. In response, 13tigerlilies was born, a space where my creative endeavors and BTS fandom could coexist seamlessly.

The name "13tigerlilies" is a blend of personal significance, with '13' representing my bias Jimin and 'tigerlilies' inspired by the birth flower of BTS's golden Maknae, Jungkook. Initially utilized for my fan fiction and BTS fangirling, this space quickly evolved into something more profound and professional. Bangtan Borahae, the book I am currently working on, marks the convergence of my passion and profession.

Despite the unconventional choice to unite my two worlds, it felt authentic. I am a passionate fangirl, and every creative pursuit I undertake is rooted in my love for music, particularly the seven talented individuals from Korea.

Among the various facets of 13tigerlilies is the extensive collection of carefully curated pins on Pinterest. Another notable project is the BTS genre galaxy—a collection categorizing BTS music into genres and moods, complemented by dedicated Spotify playlists. The pinnacle of these efforts is the BTS 25X25: Blood, Sweat, & Streams playlist.

 

I've always had a soft spot for music countdowns and a geeky side for data. With the aim of assisting ARMY in boosting BTS into Spotify's exclusive Billion Club, I created this music chart and its accompanying BTS 25x1B Blood, Sweat, & Streams playlist.

Initially, I envisioned a grand celebration by 2025 with BTS 25X25, marking the milestone of having 25 songs reach a billion plays each on Spotify. However, the plan didn't gain the traction needed. Determined to keep the playlist going beyond 2025, I've added weekly chart updates to keep it fresh and relevant.

​

The goal is simple: to seamlessly integrate this playlist into everyday life. Whether it's background music while tidying up the house, a companion during a hike, or setting the tone for a friendly gathering, let's prove to skeptics that we, the BTS ARMY, can achieve these milestones organically.

​

Because I love curating BTS music, I've expanded the playlists beyond the main one to allow fans to focus on specific members or styles, finding playlists with the top songs closest to the billion-play goal.

These playlists are more than just collections of songs; they're celebrations shared with dedicated ARMYs who adore BTS. After all, BTS's music is an inseparable part of our lives, like a comforting breath.
